Cable skiing is simply water-skiing where the skier is not pulled by a boat, but by an overhead cable

that is suspended 8-12 meters above the water’s surface by specifically designed pylons.

The cable runs counter-clockwise around the lake and is powered by a variable-speed electric motor which runs at speeds of between 20 - 65 km/h. Most cable-park circuits are 650-800 meters and can accommodate many users per hour, circulating 8-12 riders at one time. It takes a skier about 2 minutes to complete one round with the cables running at a regular speed of 28 km/h.

Skiers begin from an astroturf starting dock directly onto the surface of the lake, making an easy transition onto the water. The only limitation as to how many rounds a skier can go is his or her own strength.

Cable skiing is safe, clean, quiet, and environmentally-friendly, with no risk of oil or fuel contamination.

The major advantage of cable skiing is that there is no expensive motorboat needed, making it very affordable for the individual skier. In addition, weather conditions, such as wind or waves, have no impact on a cable skier’s enjoyment of the sport.

Just 25 minutes from Antalya’s International Airport is Hip-Notics Cable Ski Park. Finally, the possibility of year-round riding, so close to Europe’s major cities!

Hip-Notics consists of three man-made lakes, continually fed by cool mountain run-off water on its way from the Taurus Mountains to the Mediterranean Sea. The lakes are approximately 170 cm deep; shallow enough to keep the water pretty warm most of the year. Located at the foothills and on the main Antalya-Manavgat road, Hip-Notics is as convenient as it is beautiful. Hip-Notics’ lakes cover approximately 90,000 square meters of the property’s total land area of about 200,000 square meters.

The six-pylon L-1 is 730 meters around and is designed to appeal to waterskiers. The cable is suspended nine meters from water level. Advanced skiers can challenge their skills on L-1’s slalom course. L-2 is shorter (at 540 meters) and consists of five pylons. Cable height on L-2 is 10 meters above water level. For advanced riders, L-2 is equipped with two kickers (large and small), a 16-meter fun box , a 20-meter slider, a 12-meter table and a 19-meter-long, by three-meter-high A-frame.

L-3 consists of two “Easy-Start” systems. One is used to train beginner-boarders and the other one is used exclusively for wakeskaters.
Hip-Notics offers something for everyone!

Equipment rental is included in the price of admission but Hip-Notics’ Pro Shop carries equipment, such as boards, bindings, helmets and life jackets for those who want to buy their own and sunglasses, sportswear and suntan lotion for those who want to look their best while riding. Wi-Fi is available throughout Hip-Notics so our guests can keep in touch with home and work. The Café offers fast food options. Lots of oversized pillows are scattered along the lakes so visitors can relax whenever they are not boarding/skiing. Hip-Notics is equipped with a professional sound system and speakers all around the lakes, so riders can listen to their favorite music while gliding on the water. Night riding is also available and is a delight on our illuminated lakes.

In short, Hip-Notics is the place that riders have been dreaming about. Only a couple hours away from Europe’s major cities, yet warm, friendly and fun. Hip-Notics is also available for special camps, clinics or corporate events, in season or off-season.
