We visit Antalya next week and are keen to know about any attractions that are accessible by wheelchair - pushed by me!

Our hotel is near Lara Beach.

Hi Summerfa

The only place I can think of thats completely wheelchair friendly is the Archaeological Museum - antalyacentral.com/attractions/antalya-archaeological-museum - the Aquarium is semi wheelchair friendly, lots of steep gradients and elevators though - antalyacentral.com/attractions/antalya-aquarium - there is also an elevator to go the bottom of the old town so wheelchair users can easily get to the old town harbour - antalyacentral.com/places-to-go/kaleici-panoramic-elevator

The main problem I suspect will be that most transport (or pavements) isnt equipped for wheelchair travellers although the hotel may be able to help find a specialised taxi, most busses cant cater for wheelchairs

If you have a residents permit you can use the free Antalya Wheelchair taxi - antalyacentral.com/resources/free-taxi-i...lya-for-the-disabled

Hope this helps a little, maybe some other members have some ideas too, have a wonderful holiday :thumbup

Many thanks Murkey - we have a hire car so transport is not an issue - although parking may be?

If it's open I've read that Sandland is accessible to pushchairs and wheelchairs.

Partial accessibility is also ok, after all these years we have come to expect that there will be limitations on what we can see and where we can go - especially with really OLD attractions such as castles and ruins - in those days disabled people weren't catered for!

Ah yes, Sandland too, conveniently the theme this year is almost identical to the last 2 years so they can just change a couple of sculptures and charge everyone to see the same again ;)

If you're feeling adventurous there's also wheelchair facilities at the Tahtali mountain cable car, just make sure the brakes are working! :) and Minicity near the aquarium is wheelchair friendly also (antalyacentral.com/attractions/minicity-antalya)
